Emergency walk-in clinics

The information below explains which of our clinics can help with urgent treatment, but please call on 0333 300 2100 if you are unsure. Emergency slots can be used for:

  • Emergency contraception
  • HIV post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)
  • Painful cuts and sores to the genital area that may be herpes

Emergency contraception

Women who have had unprotected sex can take an emergency contraception pill up to five days after sex to prevent a pregnancy. We can provide this from all our clinics and you can pre-book appointments by calling 0333 300 2100.

HIV post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)

PEP is a treatment that can prevent HIV infection after the virus has entered a person's body. The sooner PEP is started, the more likely it is to work; within 24 hours is best, but no later than 72 hours (three days). After 72 hours PEP is unlikely to work.

We can provide PEP from our Falcon Road centre in Wandsworth.
