PLEASE NOTE: Patrick Doody clinic sessions are now appointment only, though patients needing emergency contraception can still be seen on a ‘walk-in’ basis. The young person’s walk-in clinic at Patrick Doody is still available every Monday 3pm-6pm.

This service will close on 16 November 2018 with all current and future patients transferring to 160 Falcon Road (next to Clapham Junction station) SW11 2LN.
Our main clinic in Wandsworth (Balham Health Centre) does not routinely see walk-in patients except in some emergencies, which are listed below.
The information below explains which of our clinics can help with urgent treatment, but please call on 0333 300 2100 if you are unsure. Emergency slots can be used for:
Women who have had unprotected sex can take an emergency contraception pill up to five days after sex to prevent a pregnancy. We can provide this from all our clinics and you can pre-book appointments by calling 0333 300 2100.
PEP is a treatment that can prevent HIV infection after the virus has entered a person's body. The sooner PEP is started, the more likely it is to work; within 24 hours is best, but no later than 72 hours (three days). After 72 hours PEP is unlikely to work.
We can provide PEP from our two clinics in Wandsworth.

In Wandsworth we work with Metro to provide advice and support for HIV positive residents. Support includes advice, advocacy, counselling, health information and a peer support group. Find out more on the Metro website.
