NHS 70th Birthday

Published: 6th July 2018

It was a day of celebration for our staff across the Trust yesterday as we marked 70 wonderful  years of the NHS.

Big 7Tea parties were held at sites across all our 9 boroughs where staff were able to enjoy special NHS70 branded cupcakes as small token of our gratitude for their continuous  hard work and dedication to this organisation and the wider NHS.

It was a busy day on social media too as we launched our special NHS70 Happy Birthday video, a culmination  of a month long series of contributions from staff across the Trust telling us what they loved about the NHS.

Our Chief Executive Andrew Ridley  attended a service at Westminster Abbey with Rosalie Hill  and Courtney Cole, the oldest and youngest members of staff at CLCH respectively.

Andrew said. “Our staff and volunteers are  the lifeblood of the NHS and the reason that we are able to improve the quality of life for over a million people across London and Hertfordshire.

“We wanted to make sure they took a well earned tea break and joined in the celebrations. It was absolutely fantastic day, full of  positive energy.”
